WCRPC Board Meetings 2005 SCHEDULE
The regularly scheduled monthly meetings of the Washington County Regional Planning Council are held on the third Thursday of each month at the Sweet Meadows Branch of The Washington Trust Company, 20 Point Judith Road, in Narragansett. The meetings begin at 8:30 and adjourn at 10:00 a.m.
A board meeting is not held in August.
Congress of Councils
The WCRPC sponsors annual meetings for elected officials and
town
representatives from all nine Washington County municipalities.
The
Congress of Councils provides an opportunity for local elected
officials
and decision-makers to review research and studies conducted
by the
WCRPC and to discuss mutual regional concerns. Past presentations
include reports on The South County Greenspace Project,
The South County
Sustainable Economy Report, The Washington County Regional Planning
Council Affordable Housing Initiative and the Washington
County Regional
Affordable Housing Entity Feasibility Study.
Legislative Meetings:
On occasion, the WCRPC invites Rhode Island State Senators and
Representatives to meet with us to discuss issues that
are important to
the region.
Planners Meetings:
The WCRPC invites local town planners to periodic meetings to
discuss critical regional issues and to obtain feedback
and suggestions to guide current future research by the WCRPC.
